Terms and conditions

These terms govern the services offered by David Soto, an independent web developer in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico (contact: hola@davidsotoseo.com). By hiring a service you accept these terms. Last updated: November 2026.

1. Services

Web design and development, SEO, Google Ads advertising, virtual tours of properties and the Web Express service. The exact scope of each job is defined in a written proposal.

2. Proposals, prices and payments

Every project is quoted in writing. Prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) unless the proposal states another currency. Payment methods and dates are agreed in the proposal.

3. Web Express

Web Express is a basic website with a starting price from $3,498 MXN. These terms apply:

• The site is built from your logo and the content of your social media and the web.
• Delivered within 48 hours at most from the moment I receive your logo and social media links.
• Minimal image and text changes are allowed. Structural changes are quoted separately.
• Hosting and domain are included the first year. The included domain is capped at $400 MXN for the first year; if the chosen domain costs more, the client covers the difference.
• From the second year on, hosting and domain renew at Hostinger’s current public price, which you can check on their site.
• If the service is not paid, the site may be taken down.
• The domain and the site can be transferred to the client as long as there is no outstanding balance.

4. Client content

The client declares they have the right to use the logos, images, text and other materials they provide or that are taken from their social media, and is responsible for them.

5. Ownership and delivery

The details of ownership, licensing and transfer of the site and its code are agreed in each project’s proposal.

6. SEO and advertising results

I work with method and measure progress, but I do not guarantee Google rankings, traffic volume or sales, because they depend on factors I do not control, such as competition and changes in search engines and ad platforms.

7. Liability

My liability is limited to the contracted work and does not include indirect damages or lost income arising from use of the site. Third-party services (hosting, domains, Shopify, Google, etc.) are governed by their own terms.

8. Cancellation

Cancellation and refund terms are agreed in the proposal. Work already performed up to that point is billable.

9. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms; the current version is the one published on this page. Services already contracted are governed by the version in force at the time of hiring.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Mexican States.
